Game Preview: Washington @ #13 UCLA (-2.5, O/U 55) 9 PM ET ESPN2

Compared to last weekend, this weekend in College Football lacks the big time games all fans want for a good Saturday tailgate. However, there are still some intriguing match-ups for which I'll make my picks starting with tonight's game; I'm 3-1 on the week (Not gambling actual money, just making picks for fun).

An interesting Pac-12 matchup kicks off the weekend tonight in Pasadena. The Washington Huskies (6-3, 3-3) travel to the Rose Bowl to take on the UCLA Bruins (7-2, 4-2). UCLA is led by NFL-prospect Brett Hundley at quarterback (2225 YDS, 18 TD's, 8 INT's), but it got a surprise boost last week from converted linebacker Myles Jack. Jack, who was on the field for 115 of 118 plays, ran for 120 yards on six carries in a 31-26 win over Arizona. UCLA hopes starting tailback Jordon James returns from an ankle injury this week as it hopes to continue its push for a Pac-12 title. Washington sports a high-powered offense of its own ranked 11th in total yards per game (515.9). Running back Bishop Sankey ranks 3rd in the nation in rushing yards at 145.0 per game and quarterback Keith Price has thrown for 18 touchdowns and just 4 picks on the year. Both teams have solid defenses ranked in the Top 30 in points allowed. UCLA has two outstanding linebackers in Jordan Zumwalt and Anthony Barr.

My Pick

I like UCLA to cover the 2.5 points and the over 55 in this game. I think this game will be very close to that total of 55 and could go either way. Both teams have explosive offenses who can put up points on anyone, but also boast solid defenses. However, both teams have had trouble stopping good teams and I think this one bests the 55. In the end, I think UCLA wins by a field goal at home, where they are 4-0 on the year. Washington has also struggled on the road this season. Fun game tonight. UCLA 34 Washington 31.
